Michael A. Clifford, PLS

Principal-in-Charge, DGT Survey Group

Mike Clifford is a founder of DGT Survey Group and has worked as a survey professional on urban development and infrastructure projects in the Greater Boston area for over 25 years. He is a leading proponent for the use of advanced survey technologies, such as 3D laser scanning, in construction applications.

Mike’s land surveying experience includes boundary retracement, Land Court surveys, easement locations, topographic mapping, historic harbor line (Ch. 91) mapping, and subsurface utility mapping. His construction survey experience includes layout and as-built surveys for high-rise buildings, railroads, roadways, bridges, and tunnels. During Boston’s “Big Dig,” Mike supervised survey work for several components of the Central Artery/Ted Williams Tunnel project, from pre-construction through completion.

Currently, Mike serves as a director to the board of the Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of MALSCE, the Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers. Recently, he completed six years of service as Director and officer of The Engineering Center in Boston and Trustee of The Engineering Center Educational Trust . He is also active in his community as a Troop Committee Chairman in the Boy Scouts of America, Old Colony Council.

Mike Clifford is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
